Quá trình bọc răng sứ được thực hiện gây tê nên bạn hoàn toàn không cảm thấy đau. Sau khi hết thuốc tê, có thể có chút khó chịu nhẹ nhưng sẽ qua sau 1-2 ngày. Bác sĩ sẽ kê đơn thuốc giảm đau nếu cần thiết.
Răng sứ kim loại (Titan) có thể xuất hiện viền đen sau nhiều năm sử dụng do kim loại bị oxy hóa. Tuy nhiên, với răng toàn sứ (Cercon, Emax, Lava) thì hoàn toàn không bị đen viền vì không chứa kim loại.
Tuổi thọ của răng sứ phụ thuộc vào loại răng sứ và cách chăm sóc. Răng sứ Titan: 7-10 năm, Lava: 15 năm, Cercon và Emax: 15-20 năm hoặc lâu hơn nếu chăm sóc đúng cách.
Sau khi bọc răng sứ, bạn hoàn toàn có thể ăn uống bình thường. Tuy nhiên, nên tránh cắn các vật cứng như xương, đá, mở nắp chai bằng răng để bảo vệ răng sứ lâu bền.
Không nhất thiết phải nhổ răng. Chỉ cần răng thật còn chân răng chắc khỏe thì vẫn có thể bọc sứ. Tuy nhiên, nếu răng bị sâu nặng, lung lay nhiều thì có thể cần nhổ và trồng implant hoặc làm cầu răng.
Quy trình bọc răng sứ thường mất 5-7 ngày làm việc, bao gồm 2-3 lần tái khám. Lần 1: Thăm khám, mài răng và lấy dấu hàm. Lần 2: Thử răng sứ và điều chỉnh. Lần 3: Gắn răng sứ chính thức.
